The 20-year Journal of Samuel Rostron Burgess
Walter Evans's maternal grandfather, Samuel Rostron Burgess, was one of several larger-than-life ancestors. Between the ages of 18 and 38, Samuel kept a journal. Burgess lived an exemplary life and became a respected St. Louis citizen at the turn of the century when St Louis was at its peak, hosting the 1904 World's Fair celebrated in "Meet Me In St Louis." I privately published this edited version in 2012.
